Over the past 24 hours, law enforcement agencies nationwide conducted extensive enforcement operations resulting in the detention of fourteen drivers across various regions. The sweep targeted multiple infractions, emphasizing compliance with established traffic regulations. Of the individuals apprehended, a significant number were found operating vehicles without the requisite documentation.
Specifically, reports indicate that two drivers were found without valid licenses in Skopje, two in Rosoman, two in Kumanovo, and one in the Kavadar area. Further enforcement actions revealed multiple instances of impaired driving. Five drivers were detained for operating vehicles while under the influence of alcohol.
These incidents were recorded across several locations, including Kavadar, Sveti Nikollë, Negotinë, and Gjevgjeli, as well as on the Veles–Gradsko highway. Additionally, two drivers were detained for committing the offense of traveling in the wrong direction on the Gostivar–Tetovë road. Following the thorough documentation of these various cases, relevant criminal charges will be formally filed against the responsible parties.
The Ministry of Public Security (MPB) issued a public appeal to all traffic participants, urging strict adherence to all established road circulation rules and regulations. The authorities specifically reminded the public about the necessity of possessing a valid driver’s license while operating any vehicle.
