Ramadani: Did you know that after Banja, the trains and money go to Serbia; manipulation will not pass.

Burim Ramadani, the Deputy of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, has voiced criticism concerning the dispatch of railway equipment for repairs in Serbia. Ramadani challenged the notion that Kosovo’s governmental institutions can claim ignorance regarding the identity of subcontractors involved in such processes. In his statements, Ramadani emphasized that he views the circumstances surrounding the maintenance of the trains as warranting scrutiny.

He asserted that transparency is mandatory and that accountability must be established regarding these procedures involving Serbia. His critique specifically referenced the Public Procurement Law, noting that the legislation imposes clear requirements on contractors. According to Ramadani, the law stipulates that any tenderer must formally declare the specific parts of the contract they intend to subcontract, along with the verifiable identities of the proposed subcontractors.

He cited Article 30 of Law No. 04/L-042 as the specific legal mandate governing this obligation. The comments from Ramadani underscore a demand for adherence to established procurement guidelines, particularly in high-value infrastructural dealings.

The focus remains on ensuring that the processes related to the repairs of the trains adhere strictly to the stipulations of Kosovar law, regardless of the destination or the parties involved in the work in Serbia.
