The KRU “Gjakova” has issued a notice regarding intermittent difficulties with the regular supply of potable water across several local sectors. The utility stated that these supply challenges are attributed to a combination of high ambient temperatures, increased community consumption, and instances of misuse of the resource. To ensure the most equitable distribution of available water, the company has implemented temporary supply reductions.
These mandatory reductions will take effect nightly, operating between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM, beginning immediately. The specific areas designated to undergo these scheduled reductions include Lipovec, Gërqinë, Demjan 1, Cërmjan, and Rahovec. In light of the current conditions, KRU “Gjakova” strongly urges all residents to exercise extreme caution and conserve water, utilizing the resource strictly for essential household needs.
Furthermore, the company announced that its teams will be deployed throughout the affected zones to monitor usage and enforce existing regulations against any misuse of the water supply. The utility thanked the community for their anticipated understanding and cooperation as these measures are put in place to manage the current water demands.
