Should heatwaves occur, the restriction may be extended to weekdays, specifically Monday through Thursday, covering the hottest hours between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
The primary objectives behind these coordinated measures are threefold: to ease overall traffic congestion, especially in areas frequented by tourists, to improve general traffic flow dynamics, and to safeguard both road users and the infrastructure from the strain imposed by high ambient temperatures.
