A 71-year-old woman died following an incident reported to local authorities after she reportedly fell into a well. According to Kanun Veseli, the spokesperson for the Kosovo Police in the Ferizaj region, the incident was reported to the Ferizaj Police Station around 1:00 PM. Upon receiving the notification, a multi-agency response was immediately mobilized.
Personnel from the police force, along with investigators and regional crime technicians, arrived at the scene. The operation required the involvement of a unit from the Fire Brigade, which was instrumental in the recovery of the body from the well. Additionally, the Ferizaj Emergency team intervened at the site and subsequently confirmed the death of the 71-year-old woman.
Following the recovery efforts, the state prosecutor was notified regarding the circumstances surrounding the death. The prosecutor has authorized all necessary investigative actions related to the incident. Consequently, the case has been formally classified as an “Investigation into Death,” according to official statements.
The prompt coordination between the police and emergency services was central to the recovery process at the location of the well.
