The Mayor of Çajri Municipality, Izet Mexhiti, has announced that the government has officially approved the transfer of ownership for the “Skënderbeu” land to the Çajri Municipality. This decision removes the final administrative barrier required for the commencement of the project’s subsequent stages. According to Mexhiti, the governmental approval establishes all the necessary preconditions for initiating the tender procedure and beginning construction work on what is considered a significant development for the Albanian community in Skopje.
The mayor stated that the decision clears the path for the progression of the project. “With the Government’s decision, the final administrative obstacle is removed, and the way is cleared for the realization of the third phase of the ‘Skënderbeu’ Square,” Mexhiti declared. He added that the necessary conditions are now in place for the tender process and the subsequent works to begin shortly.
The transfer of land ownership is viewed as a critical milestone, allowing municipal authorities to move forward with the planned infrastructure improvements. The successful completion of this third phase is anticipated to significantly enhance the area. The removal of this administrative hurdle is expected to streamline the entire development cycle, moving the project from planning stages toward physical realization.
This development marks a key step toward completing one of the area’s most important civic projects.
