Day 31: Citizens protest for over 12 hours, tensions also in front of the Prime Ministry after the Parliament

Protests in the capital saw escalating tensions, marked by clashes and threats over a prolonged period. The demonstrations commenced at 10:00 AM in front of Parliament and continued until approximately midnight. During the event, one organizer, Arben Kola, addressed the assembled citizens, stating that for those who were not present at Parliament, they observed attempts to incite violence.

Kola subsequently advised that individuals react independently, clarifying that the organizers would not assume responsibility for any resulting violence from either the protesters or the citizens. Shortly after this statement, tensions escalated in the area in front of the Prime Minister’s office. During the protest, citizens detained a woman identified as an Albanian journalist in Greece.

The evening demonstration, which followed clashes with police in the early hours outside the Parliament building, shifted its focus primarily toward the State Police service. The actions taken during the protest conveyed a distinct message to President Bajram Begaj.
