Vjosa Osmani, the presidential candidate for the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), has issued a call for internal cohesion within the party, asserting that current divisions are resolvable. Osmani emphasized the necessity for the LDK to focus its efforts on surpassing the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK). She noted that the party was significantly close to this objective during the last elections.
Speaking on the matter, Osmani highlighted the party’s recent electoral performance, stating that the gap separating them from the PDK was considerably smaller than in previous cycles. She suggested that with increased commitment from its members, the party could achieve greater success. “We were about 70,000 votes away from the PDK, and now we are about 20,000 votes away from the second subject,” Osmani stated.
She further compared the current proximity to the PDK’s standing with past efforts, suggesting that the party had never been closer to overtaking the PDK. Osmani urged unity as the path forward, calling for collective action to not only surpass the PDK but also to secure the top position in future contests. Her remarks underscore a strategic focus on internal alignment to enhance the overall strength and electoral standing of the LDK against its primary competitors.
