Eighteen drivers were stopped for careless driving, two of whom were injured.

MPB Macedonia has reported that over the preceding 24 hours, law enforcement officers throughout the country detained eighteen drivers operating vehicles in violation of traffic laws. The reported violations included operating without a valid driver’s license, and in total, two of the detained drivers were found to be intoxicated. The detentions spanned multiple regions.

Specifically, five individuals were detained in Gostivar, where authorities noted that one person was intoxicated and another had a documented history of involvement in a road accident. Further detentions occurred in Skopje, involving four individuals, and in Kërçovë, where two drivers were apprehended, one of whom was also intoxicated. Additionally, incidents were recorded in the Tetovo region, as well as in Krivogashtani, Prilep, and Manastir.

Specific infractions documented included one instance in Dellçevë where an individual was driving under the influence of alcohol. Furthermore, separate incidents involving suspended licenses were reported in Kërçovë and Kavadar. Following the thorough documentation of all these cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed against the responsible parties.

The authorities emphasized that these measures are part of ongoing efforts to enhance road safety across the nation. MPB Macedonia issued a formal appeal to all members of the public, urging strict adherence to traffic regulations.
