Police operations continue in Zubin Potok – large amount of weapons and ammunition discovered again

The Kosovo police conducted operations in three separate incidents early Tuesday morning, reportedly around 2:00 AM, resulting in the discovery and seizure of various weapons, military equipment, and ammunition from unoccupied residential properties. In the first reported incident, law enforcement officers found and confiscated significant amounts of weaponry. Specifically, 432 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition and 18 rounds of ammunition of an unknown caliber were seized from the site.

The competent prosecutor has been informed of this discovery, and an official investigation procedure has been initiated concerning the matter. A second operation yielded a broader array of materials. The police found and confiscated 204 rounds of ammunition spanning various calibers, alongside 56 grenades, a bayonet, a military mask, and three military food rations.

The prosecutor’s office was notified of this seizure and has subsequently ordered the commencement of a formal investigation. The third incident involved the confiscation of an air rifle, 31 rounds of ammunition, and several items of old Yugoslavian currency. This case has also been formally documented, with investigations launched following the police action.

Collectively, these seizures highlight ongoing efforts by authorities to secure unauthorized weaponry within the region. The police confirmed that all seized materials are currently being processed as part of the ongoing judicial review.
