Conversely, the resources dedicated to Corridor 8 seem to have been diminished. BDI noted that both segments are integral components of the single project secured through a partnership with Bechtel-Enka. The organization stated that the current resource allocation suggests a practical shift in the project’s primary focus by the government.
BDI suggested that this prioritization appears linked to a political objective, citing a directive for the completion of Corridor 10D before the next spring elections, framing it as an electoral priority for the authorities. The statement warned that if these observations prove accurate, the situation raises concerns about the management of state assets. BDI cautioned that the potential diversion of funds, labor, and equipment allocated to a state project warrants serious scrutiny.
