The Basic Court in Peja issued a ruling concerning a physical assault incident that occurred at the “Orenda” senior living facility in Peja in 2022. During the court session, the panel of judges found Aurona Pelajn guilty of using physical force against the victim with malice. As a result of the conviction, the Court sentenced Aurona Pelajn to two years and three months in prison.
Beyond the incarceration period, the court also imposed a supplementary professional measure, barring Aurona Pelajn from practicing the nursing profession for a period of five years. In the proceedings, Altina Rexhepi and Remzie Kuqi were declared not guilty by the court. It was noted that three of the individuals accused in the case were not present during the session.
