One month of house arrest for the suspect for stabbing in Rahovec

The Basic Court in Gjakova has approved a request from the Basic Prosecutor’s Office, ordering the pre-trial detention of E.H. The detention period has been set for a period of one month, pending further investigation into serious criminal charges. E.H.

stands accused of attempted murder and minor bodily injury. The detention ruling was based on allegations stemming from an incident reported to have occurred on April 5, 2026, at approximately 10:30 PM in the Rahovec area. According to the Prosecutor’s submission, the incident took place near premises identified as “C.B.” and “N.Q.B.” It is alleged that the suspect confronted the victim, F.M., during a brief disagreement.

During this altercation, the suspect allegedly attacked the victim using a bladed weapon, resulting in injuries sustained by vital areas of the body. The court determined that the nature of the assault warranted pre-trial detention for the accused. Following the incident, the victim received initial medical attention at the “Isa Grezda” Regional Hospital in Gjakova before being subsequently transferred to QKUK for advanced medical care.

The court’s decision to mandate pre-trial detention reflects the severity of the charges brought forth by the prosecution. The detention remains in effect for the specified one month period to allow authorities to continue gathering evidence related to the alleged violent act.
