Daniela Dimovska elected head of the Skopje Criminal Court

Judge Daniela Dimovska was elected Chief Judge of the Basic Criminal Court of Skopje during a session of the Judicial Council. The election followed a public declaration procedure involving two candidates: Daniela Dimovska, who is a judge and the incumbent Chief Judge of the Basic Criminal Court of Skopje, and Ivica Stefanovski, also a judge at the court. Ivica Nikolovski, the Chairman of the Selection Commission, reported that both applications were complete and that both candidates successfully passed the required tests and interviews.

After the commission’s report was approved and a vote was cast, Daniela Dimovska was elected to the position of chief judge. This marks a continuation of her leadership, as Daniela Dimovska had been elected the incumbent Chief Judge of the Basic Criminal Court of Skopje one year prior. Prior to assuming the role of Chief Judge, she served as a judge within the Department for Organized Crime.

The process underscores the formal judicial selection process within the Skopje court system.
