The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) Parliamentary Group is scheduled to convene in the Kosovo Parliament hall today to reiterate its call for the immediate continuation of the constitutional session and the establishment of the Parliament. The planned gathering is set to commence at 11:00 AM. On Friday, the PDK submitted a formal request to the chairman of the constitutional session, Avni Dehari, urging that the session resume in strict accordance with the Constitution, the rulings of the Constitutional Court, and established Parliamentary Rules.
The PDK announced that the Alliance political bloc will join this ongoing action. Both the PDK and the Alliance have maintained a consistent demand for the continuation of the session, arguing it is necessary for the proper constitution of the Parliament. They have directed their criticism toward the Vetëvendosje Movement, accusing it of obstructing the constitutional process.
In response to these demands, the Vetëvendosje Movement stated that prerequisites must be met before any progress can be made. Specifically, the opposition bloc asserted that an agreement regarding the constitution of the state’s institutions must be reached first. This ongoing procedural dispute highlights a significant political impasse within the legislative body regarding the necessary steps for the full functioning of the Parliament.
