Iran claims to have hit a US military base in Jordan

Iranian state media has reported that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeted a United States military base in Jordan. According to the reports, ten ballistic missiles struck the facility located in Al-Azraq, as well as a command and control center designated for the “West Asia” region. In a statement, the IRGC warned that further aggression by the U.S.

military would place other American bases in the region at risk. This development follows earlier reports from the Jordanian state news agency. Citing a military source, the Jordanian agency had previously indicated that Jordan’s air defense systems intercepted eight missiles launched from Iran toward Jordanian territory.

The escalating tensions involve a direct confrontation between Iranian forces and U.S. military assets in the region. While the IRGC issued explicit warnings regarding future military actions, the U.S.

military has not yet issued a formal comment regarding the reported strikes on the base. The incident underscores heightened regional instability and potential escalation between the involved parties.
