The Center for Crisis Management reported the detection of three separate fires in open areas as of 2:00 PM. Authorities confirmed that two of these incidents remain active. The reported fires are located in different municipalities: one is situated within the Gazi Baba Municipality in the village of Trubarevë, while the second active fire is in the Likova Municipality, specifically in the village of Opajë.
In conjunction with the current fire situation, the Center reiterated existing travel restrictions implemented due to heightened fire risk. Beginning January 1st, movement throughout the mountains has been suspended and this restriction is scheduled to remain in effect until the end of August. This suspension of movement does not apply to designated national parks or the Vodno area.
For individuals requiring travel outside these exempted zones, movement permits can still be obtained. These permits are issued by the MPB and the NP “National Forests,” ensuring controlled access while mitigating risks associated with open-air burning and uncontrolled wildfires. The public is advised to adhere strictly to these guidelines to ensure public safety and environmental protection.
