Labor Inspectorate halts construction work at 16 workplaces in five municipalities

The Central Labor Inspectorate has suspended operations at sixteen different workplaces across the municipalities of Peja, Pristina, Ferizaj, Lipjan, and Fushë Kosovë. This action followed routine inspections designed to monitor adherence to labor safety and health legislation. According to the Inspectorate, the inspections revealed several serious violations concerning workplace safety standards.

Authorities determined that the noted irregularities posed a significant risk to the life and well-being of the employees at these sites. Consequently, the Central Labor Inspectorate issued an order mandating the immediate cessation of all work activities at the sixteen affected workplaces. The suspension remains in effect until the establishment of safe working conditions and the complete rectification of all identified labor law violations.

These proactive measures underscore the inspectorate’s commitment to enforcing robust labor protections across the region. The inspections are part of an ongoing effort to ensure that all workplaces comply with established health and safety protocols, thereby safeguarding the workforce.
