Gruda: Without political dialogue and compromise, there can be no institutional formation

Përparim Gruda, the elected Deputy of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), commented on an invitation extended by Albin Kurti, the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV), to the leaders of various parliamentary parties. Gruda asserted that the purpose of the announced meeting must be to address the formation of all state institutions. Following the communication, Gruda announced that the PDK Presidency would review the invitation before issuing an official statement.

He reiterated the party’s stance that achieving a resolution to the current institutional deadlock is impossible without meaningful political dialogue and compromise among the major parties. “We have stated from the beginning that without political dialogue, without compromise, there cannot be the formation of institutions,” Gruda declared. He added that the party was convening to issue a formal statement, emphasizing that any subsequent dialogue must prove genuine.

Gruda further noted that the timing of the invitation, particularly in relation to the constitution of state bodies, underscores the urgency of the political impasse. His comments underscore the PDK’s insistence on preconditions for any governmental progress. The core message delivered by Gruda emphasizes that the path forward for Kosovo’s state structures remains contingent upon a commitment to comprehensive political engagement.
