The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPK) voted to reject the appeal filed by Atdhe Dema, a candidate for the position of State Prosecutor. The vote resulted in one affirmative vote and five dissenting votes. Dema’s appeal addressed alleged violations of legal provisions, both procedural and substantive, as well as inconsistencies within the evaluation Panel’s scoring and rationale.
Specifically, he requested that the KPK approve his appeal as founded, urging the Panel to revise its assessment. Dema argued that the evaluation conducted for his interview and concept document lacked concrete facts and sufficient supporting reasoning. During the review process, Dardan Vuniqi, the Deputy Chairman of the KPK, stated that Dema’s assertions regarding insufficient reasoning were without merit.
Vuniqi noted that the candidate failed to provide evidence to substantiate the claims made in his appeal. The decision by the KPK to reject the appeal marks a formal conclusion to Dema’s challenge against the initial evaluation process. The council’s ruling confirms the standing assessment while addressing the procedural grounds raised by the candidate.
