Ramush Haradinaj, the former leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), has publicly stated his willingness to consider a presidential candidacy should the united opposition formally request it. During remarks to KP, Haradinaj emphasized that his consideration for such a role would be contingent upon the opposition organizing itself and nominating a candidate. Haradinaj reiterated his firm stance against forming any coalition government that includes Albin Kurti.
He advised the opposition bloc that they should consolidate their efforts and determine a candidate among themselves. Regarding his own potential candidacy, he noted that if he were in the opposition’s position, he would evaluate the support offered by the bloc, indicating that he has no pre-existing conditions or demands for any party. Furthermore, Haradinaj asserted that his political group maintains a distance from the current administration.
He stressed that his faction does not support remaining within the government structure led by Kurti, arguing that such participation would be detrimental to the broader interests of Kosovo. The statements clarify that while Haradinaj remains open to the opposition’s formal request for a presidential bid, his commitment is explicitly not to any arrangement involving the current ruling coalition.
