The recent Alley Oop Project tournament took place on Monday, marking a significant event for the sport’s burgeoning popularity. Held in Mitrovica, the competition saw a remarkable 13 teams engage, representing the largest turnout of this particular series. Throughout the event, numerous thrilling matches unfolded, progressing through initial group stages and then advancing to the semi-finals and ultimately, the final.

The intense showdown between teams 02 and Milingonat proved to be the highlight. After a captivating series of contests, Milingonat emerged victorious, securing a decisive 12-11 win. This triumph granted them immediate qualification for the superfinal, a prestigious competition scheduled for the capital city.

This superfinal will bring together champions from across all participating cities, showcasing the best of 3×3 basketball. It’s the second iteration of the Alley oop initiative, designed to dramatically boost the appeal of this dynamic sport. The project is a collaborative effort, partnering with FIBA Europe to aggressively promote 3×3 basketball throughout Kosovo.
