MPB Macedonia reported conducting multiple drug enforcement operations across several locations over the course of mid-July 2026. These actions resulted in several individuals being detained by law enforcement for possession of narcotics. On July 12, 2026, the Skopje Police Department conducted raids at various sites within the city.
During these operations, police officers detained four residents of Skopje—identified as A.I. (24), M.F. (28), M.K.
(28), and D.A. (18)—as well as R.Gj. (20) from Gevgelija.
These detentions followed the discovery of marijuana and hashish on the individuals. Later that day, at approximately 7:30 PM, police personnel from the Prilep NJPB detained a 37-year-old male in Prilep’s “Toçilla” neighborhood after marijuana was found during a routine check. The enforcement activities continued on July 13, 2026.
In the early morning hours, at 2:45 AM, the Kamenjan Police Unit detained B.S. (24), who resides in the Trebosh village. This arrest occurred during the inspection of a passenger vehicle, specifically a ‘Golf’ with license plates registered in Shk.
These reported incidents highlight the ongoing efforts of the police department to combat illegal drug possession across different regions, including multiple actions taken within Skopje. The operations resulted in the detention of multiple persons across different municipalities.
