Ferati denies rumors of an extraordinary Parliament: No signature has been filed

Ilir Ferati, the Secretary of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), has issued a clarification regarding calls for an extraordinary session of the Parliament. Ferati stated that, contrary to recent media reports, the party has not received any submitted signatures supporting such a session. During the statement, Ferati addressed circulating information across various online portals, noting the absence of verifiable sources for the claims.

He emphasized that, as of the time of his statement, there is no formalized initiative or collection of required signatures on file with the party leadership. The LDK maintained that while the party is prepared to review any request that adheres strictly to established statutory criteria, the current situation lacks any concrete, official backing. Ferati stressed that the party’s procedure for addressing such matters is systematic.

He confirmed that any official request originating from recognized bodies within the LDK will be treated with the utmost seriousness and urgency. This procedural adherence, he noted, ensures that any proposed action concerning the functioning of the legislature is properly vetted. The statement underscores that official action requires documented, formal channels, rather than unverified media circulation.
