BDI: Voting for Ivan Stoilkoviq today is the political responsibility and legitimization of the “Serb World”

BDI issued a strong condemnation regarding a public statement made by a Minister of the Government of Serbia. The Minister reportedly asserted that Slobodan Milošević’s alleged desire to execute ethnic cleansing against Albanians is not merely an individual viewpoint. BDI stated that this rhetoric represents a dangerous ideology that continues to glorify policies responsible for conflicts, genocide, and crimes against humanity throughout the Balkan region.

The organization emphasized that such statements perpetuate narratives of historical violence. Furthermore, BDI addressed the political developments in North Macedonia, noting the significant weight carried by the recent parliamentary vote. Specifically, the text highlighted the election of Ivan Stoilkoviqi as a minister, which occurred despite his documented political leanings.

Stoilkoviqi has been publicly associated with pro-Serbian and pro-Russian stances, alongside an anti-Albanian disposition. BDI noted that Stoilkoviqi has historically supported the political narrative promoted by Aleksandar Vučić. The organization suggested that the combination of these political endorsements and the continuation of rhetoric hostile against certain groups underscores a persistent pattern of ideological alignment.

By reporting these multiple instances, BDI sought to draw attention to what it views as the ongoing promotion of divisive and historically problematic viewpoints within regional political discourse.
