Nikolloski: The Tetovë–Prizren road and the Skopje–Bllacë highway in the focus of infrastructure projects

Minister of Transport and Connections, Aleksandar Nikolloski, announced that the construction of the inter-municipal road connecting Tetovo and Prizren is advancing according to the established schedule. Nikolloski expressed satisfaction with the current momentum of the project, noting that the initiative represents a significant improvement to one of the key connections between Macedonia and Kosovo. According to the Minister, the project is entering a subsequent phase focused on securing necessary financing and addressing the plans for the border tunnel component.

To manage the complex requirements of the undertaking, an interdepartmental commission has been established within the Public Enterprise for State Roads. This commission is responsible for compiling the requisite documentation, a process that is being supported by the Faculty of Civil Engineering. While the initial, less complex segments of the project have reached completion, Nikolloski acknowledged the overall intricate nature of the infrastructure development.

He confirmed that the procedural work has advanced significantly, noting that the commission has formally requested necessary data from the Faculty to continue preparing the comprehensive documentation required for the next stages of the road’s development. The focus now shifts to finalizing financial frameworks and advancing the tunnel planning.
