The “Diaspora Days” fair opened with artisanal products from local women

The Municipality of Podujev has inaugurated a cultural event at the City Boulevard, establishing the area as a focal point for tradition and culture through the opening of a specialized fair. This event officially marks the commencement of the “Diaspora Days” Manifestation. For two consecutive days, January 20th and 21st, residents are invited to visit the fair.

Attendees will have the opportunity to view a diverse range of goods, including artisanal products, traditional garments, and local cuisine, much of which is crafted by women from the community. The opening ceremony was attended by several municipal officials, including the Deputy Mayor of Podujev, Fahri Restelica; the Director for Culture, Youth, and Sport, Valbona Ibishi-Azemi; the Director of Administration, Ditjona Statovci; and the Director for Agriculture, Behram Latifi. During the event, Deputy Mayor Restelica commended the women participants for their efforts and commitment to preserving local heritage.

The fair aims to showcase the skills and traditions maintained within the community, providing a platform for local craftsmanship and cultural exchange over the specified days. The gathering underscores the municipality’s dedication to celebrating its cultural roots through such public initiatives.
