A significant storm has resulted in damage across numerous villages within the Suhareka Municipality. In response, municipal teams have commenced intervention efforts in the hardest-hit areas. Bali Muharremaj, the Mayor of the Suhareka Municipality, confirmed through a Facebook post that local municipal institutions are actively managing the situation.
In his statement, Muharremaj noted, “Various damages have occurred in many villages of the Suhareka Municipality.” He stressed that the primary focus of the institutions’ efforts is to intervene in areas presenting the highest level of risk. “Initially, we are trying with all our institutional capacities to act where the risk is greatest,” he stated. The Mayor also addressed the community, calling for unity while expressing confidence in the area’s ability to recover.
“Together, we will overcome this situation,” he concluded, emphasizing a collective approach to managing the aftermath of the storm. The municipal authorities remain engaged in assessing the damage and deploying resources to mitigate further risks across the Suhareka Municipality.
