Klekovski on the water situation in Gostivar: Ministry of Health did not hide information

Minister of Health, Sasho Klekovski, asserted today that the Ministry of Health has maintained full transparency regarding the situation in Gostivar. Speaking at a press conference at the Government building, Klekovski stated that he was the initial source of information, announcing the first registered cases on Sunday. He affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to continued transparent data publication, stating, “we have nothing to hide.”

According to Klekovski, the first official details concerning the situation in Gostivar were received by the Ministry of Health on Friday afternoon at 1:00 PM.

He provided an update on the current caseload, noting that approximately 3,100 health contacts have been registered. These records originate from various sources, including the Health Center, the General Hospital, telephone calls, and emergency interventions. Furthermore, Klekovski detailed the timeline of the medical response, mentioning that the initial medical assessment was conducted on April 14.

The Minister emphasized that the Ministry of Health continues to manage the situation by ensuring that all available data is shared openly with the public. His statements aim to reassure the public about the ongoing management and communication efforts related to the public health concern.
