A new survey released by the Ratings group, conducted on July 20 and 21, 2026, indicates a notable shift in public confidence among Ukraine’s leading political and military figures. According to the findings, former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, currently commands the highest level of trust among Ukrainians, achieving 70 percent support. Mykhailo Fedorov holds the second most trusted position with 65 percent support, followed by Kyrylo Budanov, who registered 62 percent.
President Volodymyr Zelensky ranks fourth in the survey, maintaining 59 percent of citizens’ trust. The data highlighted significant fluctuations in public perception. Mykhailo Fedorov experienced the most substantial increase in trust, rising from 35 percent to 65 percent within a single week.
Conversely, trust in Oleksandr Syrskyi, head of the Ukrainian army, saw a considerable decline, dropping from 39 percent to 23 percent. These results demonstrate marked changes in how the Ukrainian populace views its key leaders at a time when the nation continues to face aggression from Russia. The survey provides a detailed snapshot of the current trust landscape, showing that while top figures maintain substantial support, the relative standing of each leader and their corresponding percentage of public belief remains subject to rapid change.
