A significant shooting incident was reported on Saturday evening in the village of Gjorm, located within the Kurbin Municipality. According to preliminary reports, the residential area was targeted with gunfire. Following the attack, at least one individual was reported injured.
V. P., aged 22, was among those affected by the gunfire. He was urgently transported to the University Trauma Hospital in Tirana, where he is currently receiving medical attention.
Reports also noted that a separate instance involving V. P., a resident of the nearby village of Sanxhak, occurred around 7:00 PM on July 25, 2026, when he was taken to a state hospital with a leg injury suspected to be from gunfire, and was reportedly out of danger. In response to the violence, a substantial number of police forces were dispatched to the scene where the incident took place.
Authorities have initiated a comprehensive investigation to establish the full sequence of events.
