Police in the Ferizaj Region issue 97 fines to motorcycle drivers

The Ferizaj Regional Police have heightened traffic controls targeting motorcycle and scooter operators with the objective of enhancing communication safety and reducing accident rates. A recent police announcement detailed enforcement actions taken between April 1 and April 26, 2026. During this period, a total of 97 fines were issued to motorcycle drivers who were found to be operating in violation of established road traffic regulations.

The Ferizaj Regional Police confirmed the enforcement actions, stating that the fines were issued to drivers apprehended while circulating in contravention of traffic rules and laws. Beyond issuing citations, the police also confiscated 50 motorcycles and scooters. The primary reason cited for these confiscations was the failure of the operators to present proper documentation.

These intensified controls indicate a focused effort by the police department to ensure compliance with traffic laws among two-wheeled vehicle users. The measures aim to improve road safety by addressing procedural violations and ensuring that all motorcycle drivers adhere to mandated operational standards. The police continue to emphasize that adherence to traffic regulations is crucial for both personal safety and the prevention of vehicular accidents within the region.
