Mohammed Fuseini, a 22-year-old footballer representing the prominent belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise, was the victim of a robbery and physical assault in Brussels on Sunday morning. The incident took place in the Dansaert neighborhood, and video footage documenting the event was subsequently released by local belgian media outlets. The footage captured assailants removing Fuseini from a car.

Witnesses and the video indicated that three individuals physically restrained the footballer while attempting to take his mobile phone. Meanwhile, two other assailants were observed searching the vehicle for valuables. According to reporting from the belgian outlet HLN, the robbery resulted in the loss of a Rolex Datejust watch, valued between 8,000 and 14,000 euros.

The Brussels police department confirmed that an official investigation has been initiated following the report filed concerning the attack. Union Saint-Gilloise issued a statement regarding their player, confirming that while Fuseini sustained no physical injuries, he was reported to be deeply shaken by the ordeal. The club indicated that they were providing full support to Fuseini following the incident.
