Former Prime Minister of Kosovo and former Mayor of Pristina, Isa Mustafa, has criticized the decision to narrow the “Ilir Konushevci” street near the Llap Mosque in Pristina. In a social media statement, Mustafa characterized the intervention as an “experiment” that, in his assessment, negatively impacts residents, local businesses, and general citizens. Mustafa noted that the street serves as a primary thoroughfare connecting Pristina with the areas of Llap and Gollak.
He recalled that during his tenure as mayor of Pristina, the road had been widened to 12 meters. According to the former official, the project fails to adequately consider the interests of the local population and the businesses operating within the vicinity. The concerns raised by Mustafa suggest a divergence between the municipal plans and the needs of the community.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that citizens have actively protested municipal works occurring at the Llap Mosque in Pristina.
