The recent high-level political discussions involving the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, concluded without an established agreement regarding the formation of new governmental institutions. The discussions between Kurti and Abdixhiku took place following a session of the LDK Parliamentary Group. However, this subsequent meeting failed to yield a final political consensus between the two prominent figures.
Following the session, Kurti stated that further announcements would only be possible once a formal agreement had been reached. This represented the second significant meeting between the two leaders within a span of two days. Despite extensive talks held on Saturday, which reportedly lasted for approximately three hours, the participants were unable to finalize a political agreement concerning the division of responsibilities or the establishment of new governing bodies.
While the discussions concluded without a definitive pact, both political factions maintained an open stance regarding future negotiations. The inability to secure a mutual understanding on key institutional matters suggests that the path toward immediate governmental restructuring remains undetermined, pending further talks aimed at achieving a comprehensive agreement.
