Lumir Abdixhiku, Chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), confirmed that he currently has no scheduled plans for a meeting with Albin Kurti, the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement. Speaking briefly to the media after an LDK parliamentary group session, Abdixhiku stated that there were no new developments to report. “Yesterday I had a conference, I have nothing to add.
There is nothing else new,” Abdixhiku declared. Earlier, LDK-elected deputy Hykmete Bajrami informed the parliamentary group that an agreement between the LDK and LVV regarding a coalition had not been reached. Despite this, Bajrami suggested that the role of the country’s president could function as a mechanism for balancing power within Kosovo.
She stressed the significance of maintaining institutional equilibrium within the political landscape. The statements from both key figures indicate a current lack of immediate high-level dialogue between the two major political entities. The LDK’s position, as articulated by Abdixhiku, suggests a status quo regarding formal negotiations.
Meanwhile, the LDK’s internal communication, via Bajrami, focused on the constitutional role of the presidency as a means of governance balance, rather than immediate coalition formation.
