Special Prosecutor’s Office: Aliu was interviewed during the hearings for abuse of office

Former Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning, and Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu, underwent several hours of questioning by the Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kosovo as part of ongoing investigative actions. A spokesperson for the Special Prosecutor’s Office, Arbnora Luta, confirmed to the media that Aliu was questioned concerning suspicions related to the criminal act of “Misuse of official duty.”

Luta addressed the media, stating, “Regarding the issue you have addressed questions about, the Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kosovo informs you that the defendant L.A. was interviewed as part of investigative actions, related to the criminal act ‘Misuse of official duty.’ Due to the stage of the procedure, we cannot share more information.”

Following his departure from the Prosecutor’s Office, Aliu did not disclose specific details regarding the reason for the summons.
