According to the Kosovo Police, the incident took place on August 5, 2026, near the ski center in the town of Brezovica, around 4:30 PM. Authorities in the Shtërpcë area were alerted to the shooting and launched an immediate investigation into the event.
Initial reports suggest the confrontation began when three individuals, traveling with horses along a narrow mountain path, encountered a local resident. The dispute reportedly escalated after the suspect allegedly left his horse obstructing the trail, preventing the passage of the group. Following what was described as a verbal disagreement, the suspect, identified as N.H., 65, a citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, is suspected of drawing a pistol and discharging firearms at the three people.
