OBRM-PDUKM: Even during the LSDM government, there were cases of unsafe drinking water

OBRM-PDUKM has publicly criticized Venko Filipçe, the head of LSDM, alleging that he failed to implement adequate measures while leading the Ministry of Health concerning instances of unsafe drinking water across various regions of the country. During a press conference, the ruling party asserted that documentation from analyses previously published in the media demonstrated the existence of water unfit for consumption even when LSDM was in governance, specifically citing instances in Gostivar. According to OBRM-PDUKM, the relevant institutions during that period did not take concrete steps to resolve the identified issues.

Furthermore, the party claimed there were no subsequent downloads, investigations, or demands for accountability directed at the responsible personnel within local institutions. Based on these points, OBRM-PDUKM has assessed the current criticisms leveled against LSDM. The party maintains that the historical record shows a lack of decisive action by the ministry’s leadership regarding public health risks associated with the water supply.

These accusations suggest that the failure to address known problems during LSDM’s tenure constitutes a significant lapse in governance that warrants public scrutiny.
