Lushaku of the LDK: Total irresponsibility of the LVV

Following the suspension of the constitutional session of Parliament, LDK deputy Jehona Lushaku Sadriu expressed concern regarding the inability to reconstitute the parliamentary body. She stated that this situation represented a failure to uphold the trust placed in the representatives by the citizens. According to Sadriu, the inaction stemmed from the political subject associated with the Vetëvendosje Movement.

Sadriu emphasized that the electorate had entrusted the deputies with the responsibility of establishing functional state institutions within Kosovo. However, she criticized the current leadership, characterizing their actions as demonstrating a “total irresponsibility.” She noted that the primary party was failing to meet its constitutional obligations, specifically regarding the nomination of the Parliament’s Speaker and the subsequent voting process required to reconstitute the legislative body. The deputy described the current impasse as both a misfortune and a significant dereliction of duty.

Her remarks highlighted the perceived breakdown in the political process, suggesting that the inability to proceed with constitutional duties undermines the stability and function of the state apparatus. The statement from Lushaku underscores a deep concern within the LDK regarding the political deadlock preventing the normal functioning of Kosovo’s parliament.
