A recent poll conducted by the International Institute of Sociology in Kyiv (KIIS) assessed the level of public trust among Ukrainians regarding several prominent political figures. According to the published data, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the former Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and current ambassador to the United Kingdom, reported a high degree of public confidence. Specifically, 66% of respondents indicated they trust Zaluzhnyi, compared to 24% who expressed distrust, resulting in a positive trust balance of +42%.
In the poll’s findings, Mykhailo Fedorov, a former Minister of Defense, registered the highest trust balance among those surveyed, achieving +46%. Fedorov reported that 63% of respondents placed their trust in him, while 16% expressed distrust. Kyrylo Budanov, who currently heads the Presidential Office, followed in second place, garnering the trust of 61% of respondents, with 22% reporting distrust, yielding a balance of +39%.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky ranked fourth in the survey regarding public trust. The poll provides a snapshot of public sentiment, detailing the varying levels of confidence directed toward key governmental and military figures in Ukraine. The results highlight the current perception of leadership across different sectors of Ukrainian public life.
