The service disruption is scheduled for this Friday, lasting from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This temporary outage is required to facilitate essential construction work on the municipal water mains network.
The maintenance is part of a larger initiative titled the “Installation of the Gjakova III Water Mains for the Villages Lugbunar, Osek Hilë, and Skivjan” within the Municipality of Gjakova. The company has indicated that the four-hour interruption window is necessary to complete critical network upgrades. Furthermore, work continues throughout the day on secondary connections.
Technical teams are currently engaged in relocating these connections, transitioning them from older asbestos sleeves to utilize modern sleeves measuring OD315 and OD63 millimeters, thereby enhancing the overall infrastructure integrity. KRU “Gjakova” emphasizes that these scheduled interruptions are vital steps in modernizing the community’s water distribution system.
