Tasholli: The seven areas where the UÇK was located will be visits of freedom

The civil platform “Liria ka Emër” (Freedom Has a Name) has announced plans to organize a March for Freedom in Pristina on September 12. The event will proceed under the slogan, “Kosovo is Waiting.” This planned demonstration is scheduled for four days prior to the expected verdict by the Specialized Chambers in The Hague concerning the founders and leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army. During an interview with RTK, Ismail Tasholli, a representative of the platform, addressed the scope of the planned mobilization.

Tasholli indicated that while the central event will take place in Pristina, the spirit of the gathering is intended to encompass all municipalities across Kosovo. “This is what we envisioned at the beginning of the activity,” stated Tasholli. He elaborated that the march is designed to be a widespread movement, not limited to one area.

He specified that activities will be organized in locations such as Prizren, Skanderbeg, Peja, and Lipjan, asserting that “symbolic coverage is very important.”

The representative further noted that the call for freedom extends beyond the initial planned stops. He added that similar activities are expected to take place in all other municipalities, particularly those regions historically associated with the UÇK. The organization views the march as a broad expression of national sentiment and unity across the entire territory of Kosovo.
