The Special Prosecution Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) has confirmed the arrest of citizen Ergys Agasi. The operation was conducted through cooperation between SPAK, the State Police structures, and the National Investigation Bureau. According to SPAK, Agasi was apprehended this Wednesday while entering the city of Durrës, specifically in the Plepa area along the highway.
During the operation, Agasi was found accompanied by U. Sh., a former police employee. U.
Sh. was arrested immediately at the scene (in flagrante delicto) on suspicion of committing the criminal act of “Aiding the author of a crime,” as defined under Article 302/2 of the Penal Code. SPAK stated that Agasi is currently under investigation in connection with criminal procedure number 20/1 of 2025.
His name was officially registered for investigation on October 5, 2025. The official notice indicates that the investigation concerns allegations of a crime. The detention of Agasi is part of the ongoing efforts by SPAK to investigate matters related to corruption and organized crime.
