Traffic conditions on state roads are currently reported to be proceeding without issues, provided the roads remain dry. According to LAMM, traffic intensity has notably increased on routes situated outside of major urban areas. Furthermore, the agency has confirmed that significant delays at the border points on the Macedonian side for both entering and exiting the country are no longer occurring.
While overall traffic flow appears manageable, LAMM has issued specific recommendations for safe travel. Drivers are advised to adjust their travel speeds, adhere strictly to established traffic signals, and exercise careful vehicle management throughout their journey. These precautions are particularly crucial when traversing areas characterized by valleys, river valleys, and slopes, as these sections retain the potential risk of mudslides.
LAMM specifically highlighted several routes where heightened caution is necessary. These include the sections connecting Katllanovë to Veles, Mavrovë to Dibër to Strugë, Vinicë to Berovë, and Koçan to Delçevë. The increased volume of traffic on these state roads necessitates driver vigilance.
By adhering to recommended speed limits and maintaining awareness of local road conditions, travelers can mitigate risks associated with adverse terrain and ensure smoother overall traffic movement.
