PDK to the Government: Our message to Deputy Kurti is clear – Withdraw from the blockade, do not keep the situation in crisis for political interests

PDK deputies and members of the Alliance, joined by director assembly members from Skenderaj and Istog, maintained a protest today outside the government building. Their action involved blocking the entrance to the facility since the morning. Even on this Friday, their central demand remained consistent: the prompt formation of the country’s institutions.

A PDK deputy, Mërgim Lushtaku, addressed the media, stating that when the state and the Constitution are threatened, the primary interest of the citizens is also jeopardized. Lushtaku asserted that those who oppose the state and the Constitution of Kosovo are opposing the citizens themselves. He emphasized that the PDK shares a responsibility to defend the Constitution and the state.

Furthermore, he cautioned against misinterpreting the party’s patience as a sign of weakness. The demonstrators’ continuous presence outside the government underscores their demand for immediate institutional progress. The actions taken by the PDK and allied groups aim to pressure the government into resolving the ongoing political deadlock.

The focus of the protest remains on ensuring that the necessary state structures are established without further delay, according to the participants.
