NP “Water Supply and Sewage”: Water in Skopje is safe for drinking

According to NP “Water Supply and Sewage” – Skopje, the quality of drinking water in the capital city remains compliant with all established legal criteria. The enterprise reported comprehensive testing procedures conducted to verify the safety of the municipal water supply. During the period spanning August 24 through August 27 of this year, the Sanitary Control Sector undertook extensive testing across 45 designated measuring points throughout the territory of Skopje.

The scope of analysis was rigorous, involving the collection of 164 separate samples for physico-chemical analysis, alongside an additional 164 samples designated for microbiological testing. The analysis confirmed that the collected samples meet established safety standards. The results indicate that all tested water samples comply fully with the national Regulation governing the requirements for the safety and quality of drinking water.

This consistent monitoring assures the public of the reliable quality of the water infrastructure serving Skopje. The thorough testing procedure underscores the ongoing commitment to maintaining potable water standards across the region.
