Polish prosecutors have initiated a terrorism investigation following a suspicious fire at the WB Electronics defense company factory located in Skarżysko-Kamienna. According to the prosecutor’s office, the incident that occurred on August 31 was determined to be arson, allegedly caused by the placement of an explosive device containing flammable materials within the facility. Investigators reported that security camera footage captured an unidentified individual entering the premises after climbing over a perimeter fence.
Near the site of the fire, authorities recovered a backpack and a shirt. The Polish prosecutor’s office has subsequently opened multiple investigations. These inquiries cover participation in foreign intelligence service activities targeting the Republic of Poland, alongside charges related to committing a terrorist act.
The blaze resulted in the destruction of several storage areas within the factory. The investigation remains active, focusing on determining the source and intent behind the deliberate act. Authorities are examining the evidence gathered, including surveillance footage and recovered items, to build a case regarding the nature of the attack.
