The Kosovo Police have confirmed that a fatal traffic accident occurred in the village of Cërrcë, located in the Istog region. Authorities were notified of the collision on September 1, 2026, at approximately 00:02. Upon arrival at the scene, competent units from the Regional Road Communication Unit, alongside medical personnel and the fire department, responded to the site of the accident.
Officials reported that the incident involved two vehicles. Following the collision, three individuals sustained physical injuries. All three were transported by ambulance to the regional hospital in Peja for immediate treatment.
Medical teams on site confirmed one fatality resulting from the crash. The other two injured persons were admitted to the hospital for further care. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is ongoing.
