A 20-year-old man broke the record for labeling a map of Europe.

Jonathan Feather Ruggles, a 20-year-old geography enthusiast from China, recently achieved a remarkable feat, shattering the Guinness World Record for identifying European nations. The record-keeping organization confirmed that he secured the title for the quickest time to accurately name and write down every European country on a map. He accomplished this impressive task using Sporcle, completing it in just 45.85 seconds.

Ruggles explained his motivation to Guinness World Records, as reported by Telegrafi. “I’m not entirely certain about the initial source of my fascination,” he stated. “Nevertheless, I’ve always had a strong interest in geography and subsequently dedicated myself to Sporcle geography quizzes.”

Interestingly, his passion was further ignited during his high school years.

Ruggles also played Hearts of Iron IV, a World War II simulation game, which fostered a deeper engagement with geographical concepts. This year’s accomplishment highlights his dedication and exceptional skill within the field.
